Team Spain won the most spectacular game of this European Championship over Israel to secure the third place in this years tournament.
Both teams offenses got off to a great start showing they were going to dominate the third-place game. In the top of the first the Israelian team managed to take a four-run lead after two walks, a single and a Home Run. Team Spain answered immediately putting their first run on the scoreboard in the bottom half of the inning. Israel didn´t stop and scored another run to increase the lead back to four, but Spain tied the game in the Bottom of the second on two Two-Run Home Runs. The Israelian team didn´t score in the third so Spain took their chance and put up four more runs giving them a nine to five lead. The batsmen of both teams didn´t slow down and both teams scored three more runs in the fourth inning. In the innings five to seven Israel scored one more run per inning, but it wasn´t enough as Team Spain scored a run in the sixth and another three in the seveth. In the last two innings both teams didn´t manage to score any runs for the first time in the game so Spain secured the third place in the tournament.
The Israelian starter Alon Leichman threw 3.2 innings giving up twelve runs, the Israelian offense hit five Home Runs, they came from Blake Gaillenn, Danny Valencia, Rob Paller, Benjamin Wagner and Jeremy Wolf. The Spanish starter Jorge Balboa threw only an inning giving up five. For the Spanish offense Engel Beltre, Oscar Angulo, Jesus Ustariz and Jesus Martinez each hit Home Runs
