The game started an hour later because of the rain delay of the Czech-Israel game. Starting pitcher for Team GB Ethan Solomon took off smoothly only, walking 1st baseman Curt Smith, but without any consequences. His colleague of Team Netherlands, Orlando Yntema, walked Will Savage being the first batter he faced, but eliminated the next batters, including local hero Ben Andrews.
Sicnarf Loopstok opened the second inning with a base hit, and a hit by Sharlon Schoop loaded the bases. Loopstok scored the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly of Calten Daal. It started to rain again in the top of the third inning. So after a brief delay the Netherlands resumed at bat: an RBI of Sharlon Schoop made both Curt Smith and Kalian safely pass home plate for a 0-3 lead. Team GB did not have an answer in that inning on the solid pitching of Orlando Yntema.
A brave attempt in the fourth inning by Roger Bernardina on a hit of Kalian Sams was ended in a successful throw out. Team GB was trying very hard, but saw their chances slimmed after Jordan Serena caught stealing second base. Schoop scored the fourth run of the game on the next at bat of the Dutch on an RBI of Calten Daal. In that same fifth inning Rosen reached first base on a fielding error, but a sixth strike out ended the inning.
Team GB replaced pitcher Ethan Solomon by Cody Chartrand in the top of the sixth inning. He had a tough time against the Dutch resulting in loading the bases resulting in the 0-6 by Bernardina and Sams. But that was not the end of it: Both Rifaela and Clementina scored in fielding errors. So the 0-8 was on the scoreboard. Serena had a double in his at bat and had an outstanding chance for opening the score for Great Britain in a hit by Ben Andrews, but was caught out at home.
The seventh inning meant a new pitcher for Great Britain: Daniel Cooper replaced Chartrand after the 0-9 of Curt Smith. He had a legacy of bases loaded and the 0-10 was scored by Kalian Sams. Bottom of the seventh inning meant the replacement of Orlando Yntema by Shairon Martis after 72 pitches and 7 strikeouts. Martis faced Richard Brereton who doubled and later opened the score for Great Britain on a base hit of Michael Azcuy.
No score in inning 8 for the Netherlands, but Team Great Britain had chances to double the score. Will Savage singled and reached second base on a fielding error. It was Serena who had an RBI bringing in Savage for the 2-10. During these last innings it was getting darker by the minute and was ended officially because of insufficient light. At this moment the game is still not officially ended.
