Starting in the first inning, Italy got its offensive powerhouse started. A double and the following two-run home run by Chris Colabello gave Italy the early lead. The third run followed in the third inning after a pair of walks by the Spanish pitcher Ricardo Hernandez. Fernando Baez was able to stop Team Italy from scoring for several innings and like that Spain came back into the game with a two-RBI Double in the 6th. In the 7ththe Italian offense was able to gain power again. Mazzanti hit a massive homerun after Chris Colabello’s hit, which puts Italy up front with 2:7. After the pitching change for team Italy, Michael Johnson manages to prevent Spain from scoring any more runs. In the 9th, Team Italy puts a strong end to the game, scoring another six runs, resulting in the final score of 3:13.
