Team Israel kept their winning streak alive, winning their fourth game at this European Championship by a score of seven to four.
Great Britain got off to a strong start, after a Double and a Single Ben Andrews hit the Ball over the fence to give his team an early 3:0 lead. But Israel came back immediately, scoring two runs on a walk and two hits in the second inning. And in the fifth inning they tied the game on an RBI Single by Danny Valencia. In the seventh Inning Dodgers prospect Blake Gaillen started to heat up hitting a two-run home run to give his team a five to three lead. Great Britain managed to cut the lead down to one run, but another run in the eighth and Blake Gaillen with his second Home Run in the ninth secured the win for Team Israel.
Israelian starter Alon Leichman threw four Innings, allowing three Runs, Reliever Banjamin Wagner earned the Win, Zach Weiss secured the save. Offensively it was Blake Gaillen with another great performance hitting two Home Runs. British starter Spencer Kreisberg threw only 3.2 innings allowing two runs, Relievers Paul Kirkpatrick and Greg Hendrix combined to allow five more. Strongest offensive player for Great Britain was Ben Andrews with three hits and three RBI, Will Savage and Jordan Serena both picked up two hits.
Team Israel will face the Netherlands in their last match of the group phase, Great Britain has to beat Sweden for a chance to advance to the next round.
