EC 2010 Neuenburg: France gets first Victory against Czech Team

Kenji Hagiwara and Omar Williams collected three hits to lead France to a 6-1 win over the Czech Republic. Hitting at eighth and ninth in the lineup they combined for five RBI. Williams also hit a homerun. On the mound Samuel Meurant (W 1-0) went 8 1/3 innings, allowing six hits, an unearned run and five bb in 8 1/3 innings. He struck out six and threw 134 pitches.

The Czech team only was able to plate a run in the third on a RBI double by Tomas Polansky and suffered its second loss of the tournament. Leos Kubat (L 0-1) conceded nine hits, three runs and a bb in six innings.
