EC 2010 Heidenheim: Sweden celebrates 2nd Win against Croatia

Sweden used four-run rallies in the second and fourth en route to a 12-2 win over Croatia in game one in Heidenheim on Sunday. Tony Dermendziev set the first highlight with a three-run homerun in the second frame, Kris Sjöberg the second with a three-run double in the fourth. Rickard Reimer scored three times for the “Tre Kronors”. Slobodan Gales hit a two-run homerun for Croatia.
On the mound Jacob Claesson (W 1-0) followed the path of his brother Joakim and pitched seven strong innings for the win. He allowed just two unearned runs on six hits and two walks. He threw 65 of his 110 pitches for strikes. He was opposed on the mound by Ernesto Pereira (L 0-1), who went 3 2/3 innings, allowing six hits, eight runs and six bb.
