EC 2010 Heidenheim: Antonacci pitches Belgium to Shutout over Ukraine

Terence Antonacci (W 1-0) pitched a complete game shutout to lead Belgium to a 9-0 victory over the Ukraine in Heidenheim on Saturday. He allowed just four hits in the game, throwing 75 of his 101 pitches for strikes. He struck out seven.
On offense the Belgian team scored in five of the first six innings to support their ace with a comfortable lead from early on. Every batter out of the top six in the order picked up at least two hits, first baseman Hans Heyrman three. Dennis Ribbens scored three times. Benjamin Dille and Heyrman combined for four RBI.
Denys Agapov had two hits for the Ukraine, which was shut out for the second straight day. Roman Yatsyuk (L 0-1) received the starting nod and surrendered ten hits, eight runs (7 ER) and a walk in four-plus innings.
